More than 190,000 pure electric vehicles sold over 2021

Nearly 28,000 pure electric vehicles were registered in the UK during December, bringing the total for 2021 to almost 191,000, according to the latest figures from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders. The annual tally increased by around 76% when compared to the more than 108,000 registered in the previous year, growing their share of the total car market from 6.6% to 11.6%.
