The Energy and Climate Change committee is holding a one-off evidence session on energy price comparison websites.
The session will look at several issues concerning the sites, including their role and how they operate, and the transparency of their commission on energy plans.
The committee said it will also be looking at consumer trust in the sites and into a possible code of practice, or ‘confidence code’ that could govern the sites.
The committee has called for evidence on these issues to be submitted by 14 January next year.
