National Grid has agreed to sell a further 20% share of National Gas to the same consortium that acquired a majority stake in the gas transmission and metering business earlier this year. The latest sale will be on “equivalent terms” as the initial transaction in which the consortium led by Macquarie Asset Management acquired a 60% stake in the business from National Grid.
