The Carbon Capture & Storage Association (CCSA) has today welcomed its new chief executive Dr Luke Warren.
He has replaced Dr Jeff Chapman who had held the post for seven years, since the trade association’s launch in 2006.
The CCSA aims to cement the position of CCS as a vital low-carbon technology for the UK and around the world.
Warren said that it was an “exciting” but also “critical” time for the CCS industry.
“I am looking forward to continuing the CCSA’s work to ensure that the technology fulfils its potential as the cornerstone of global efforts to cost-effectively decarbonise both our energy and industrial sectors,” he said.
Chapman has now taken on the role of Emeritus Director at the CCSA.
