NI Water lowers non-domestic bills second year in a row

NI Water has announced a 4 per cent reduction in non-domestic bills for 2014/15, following a 2.5 per cent decrease last year.

The reduction, which will come into effect from April 1 this year, will see NI Water’s non-domestic customers paying 11.7 per cent less for their water and sewerage services in real terms than they did two years ago.

Ronan Larkin, NI Water director of finance and regulation, said: “As a business ourselves we realise the importance of keeping costs down and we hope that for our thousands of non-domestic customers including farmers, small businesses and industry this reduction in charges will be good news.”

The charges for the 2014/15 year have been agreed by the Utility Regulator in conjunction with the Consumer Council for Northern Ireland (CCNI).
