Northern Powergrid has launched a new-look website based on feedback from its customers across the North East, Yorkshire and northern Lincolnshire.
The company has changed the homepage to ensure the most essential features, such as getting a new connection, reporting a power cut and support for vulnerable customers are just one click away.
The website also showcases the newly launched 105 number which customers all over the country can call for free to report a power cut.
Northern Powergrid’s customer experience manager Leanne Kerry said: “Our customers told us they want to be able to find information quickly so we’ve invested in a clearer, simpler layout which gets our customers to the information and support they need easily.
“Our customers have also told us that they want to receive a more personal service, so we have ensured the site reflects our customer promise to help them understand what is happening, keep them informed and ensure key services such as our online power cut map and reporting services are easy to find and use.”
The redesign has also been used to introduce customers to Team Powergrid, members of Northern Powergrid’s staff who are the “backbone of our business”.
