Northumbrian drives carbon emissions down 90%

Northumbrian has hit a significant milestone on its net zero journey after driving down carbon emissions to 22,000 tonnes in 2021 from 303,000 tonnes in 2008. The company said its combination of converting sludge to gas, increasing solar generation and using all renewable power across its sites helped it cut 90% over the past 14 years
