Northumbrian fined over half a million pounds for pollution

Northumbrian Water has been fined more than half a million pounds for a pollution incident in 2017 where sewage overflowed from a manhole and entered the Heads Hope Dene stream. The company self-reported the spill to the Environment and immediately began work to clear the blockage that caused the problem
