Nuclear sector pledges lessons from Hinkley will drive costs down

A new report from the nuclear industry has pointed to a double whammy of testbed expenses as the reasons for the high-cost of EDF’s Hinkley Point C plant. The study claims that with a “renewed understanding” of the constriction process and the skills base now built up, future plants could come in 30 per cent cheaper than Hinkley.
