Generation Investment Management has acquired a 13 per cent stake in Octopus Energy Group for $600 (£437) million, giving the company a new $4.6 (£3.3) billion valuation. Origin Energy, which took a 20 per cent stake in the business last year, has agreed to put in a further $55 (£40) million to maintain its shareholding.
