The Office for Environmental Protection has urged the government to take time when considering amendments or revocations to environmental laws that are due to be 'sunsetted' at the end of 2023. The OEP suggested safeguards be added to the Retained EU Law (REUL) bill to protect ambition and standards for the natural world.
