Offshore wind is soon to become the largest single source of renewable generation in the UK after overtaking onshore wind across both of the last two quarters in 2019. The latest BEIS figures show onshore output rose by 6.6 per cent to 32.2TWh last year, whilst offshore generation jumped by 19.6 per cent to 31.9TWh.
