Ofgem has warned that a poor application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the energy sector could result in “discrimination and inequality” for certain consumers. The regulator has published a call for input on the use of AI within the sector in which it makes several recommendations setting out how it intends to deal with both the opportunities and risks.
