Water company plans to accelerate investment and get resilience schemes underway as soon as possible have been approved by Ofwat to the tune of £2.2 billion - up from £1.6 billion originally. Schemes can begin from this year with the reassurance they will be funded at the upcoming price review (PR24) to tackle storm overflows, add smart metering and bolster water supplies
