Ofwat has written to water company executives to call for further development of their proposals for reducing combined sewer overflow (CSO) discharges as part of their draft Drainage and Wastewater Management Plans submitted to the regulator in June. It said the plans must reflect the new targets proposed by the government around the same time and that the deadline for the submission of their final drafts will be extended by two months to March 2023.
