In our latest round-up of industry movers and shakers are senior appointments at National Grid and Northumbrian Water, while Scottish Power’s director of policy and regulation joins the Scottish Renewables’ board.
Former Ofgem director Rob Salter-Church is joining National Grid as head of regulatory strategy after three and a half years with consultancy PriceWaterhouse Cooper.
Salter-Church joined PwC as a director after six years in senior roles with the regulator including acting as director of strategy and retail systems transformation. His role at National Grid will relate to developing the net zero electricity network of the future.
Northumbrian Water has appointed Zoe Frogbrook as head of environment and sustainability to progress the company’s commitment to ecological work.
Frogbrook brings regulatory experience from the now defunct Environment Agency Wales as well as the Forestry Commission but most recently has worked for Scottish Water as strategic environment manager.
She said: “I’m really excited to be joining an organisation that shows such a genuine commitment to the environment. Being part of the journey to become a national leader in this area is a great honour and I look forward to building on the excellent work of a company filled with such passionate and environmentally-driven people.”
Meanwhile, trade body Scottish Renewables has named three new board members including Kate Turner, director of policy and regulatory team for Scottish Power’s renewables division.
Turner will join the board for three years together with Iain Sinclair, executive director at Global Energy Group, and Susie Lind, managing director of BlueFloat Energy.
The board will guide work to grow Scotland’s renewable energy sector and promote its role at the forefront of the global clean energy industry.
