Over 15 years’ experience in communications and campaigns, working for a range of organisations, including the British Dental Association, the Freight Transport Association and the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
What was your first job?
I had a Saturday job at a local jewellery shop.
What are the best and worst parts of your job?
Best bit: Winning the argument. Worst bit: When you spend ages talking through a story with a journalist, only to see it misrepresented in the final copy.
What’s your dream job and why?
I’ve been very lucky to have some really rewarding roles, both paid and unpaid. As long as I’m making a positive difference, I’m happy.
What’s your most treasured possession?
Despite my love for my iPad, probably my two cats, CJ and Chelsea.
Where did you last go on holiday?
West of Ireland.
In the Hollywood film of your life, who would play you?
I’d like to think someone like Cate Blanchett. My friends say it’s more likely to be Catherine Tate.
Reveal something about yourself not many people know.
I’m an on-call blood donor for the Olympics.
What album is currently in your car CD player?
Rebecca Ferguson, Heaven.
What’s your favourite film and TV programme?
TV: The West Wing.
Film: Four Weddings and a Funeral.
What quote or saying do you most overuse?
“Bonzer” seems to be the word of the moment.
If you ruled the world, what would you do first?
I’d quite like to outlaw stupidity and a lack of common sense.
What’s your favourite joke?
What’s the fastest cake in the world? Scone.
