Career history: Laura is the capital programme assistant in the utilities team at Savills Peterborough.
What was your first job?
Inputting my dad’s accounts.
What are the best and worst parts of your job?
The best part is hitting a deadline for a client. Completing legal agreements for utilities is notoriously slow, however by working with our clients to understand their needs we have developed a process that ensures deadlines are achieved. The worst part is wading through emails after a holiday.
What’s your dream job and why?
Working for Savills of course.
What’s your most treasured possession?
A brooch given to me by my great nan.
Where did you last go on holiday?
Camping on the west coast of Scotland. We stayed in a beautiful place called Crinan and ended up at a Ceilidh party on our last night sipping on Jura whisky with the locals.
In the Hollywood film of your life, who would you play?
It would have to be Rachel Weisz – in the hope she’d introduce me to her husband Daniel Craig.
Reveal something about yourself not many people know.
After much nagging by my fiancĂ©, I’m learning to shoot.
What album is currently in your car CD player?
Blur: The Best Of. After their awful performance at the Brits, I’m reliving their better years.
What’s your favourite film and TV programme?
My favourite film and guilty pleasure is Titanic. My favourite TV programme is Downton Abbey.
What quote or saying do you most overuse?
“You’ve got to laugh!”
If you ruled the world, what would you do first?
I would make all designer shoes free.
What’s your favourite joke?
What did one snowman say to the other snowman? “Can you smell carrots?” (Made up by my five-year-old cousin.)
