There is just one month to go before the deadline for entry to the Utility Week Awards 2015.
The awards, which were attended by 1,400 individuals last year have become renowned as a platform for recognition of outstanding achievement before industry peers.
In 2015 there are thirteen Utility Week Award categories, spanning a wide range of business disciplines, from capital project management to community initiatives and customer care to street works.
Winning an award has become a key accolade for companies across the electricity, gas and water sectors to aspire to. In an upcoming Utility Week article celebrating success stories from the 2014 awards Robert Symons, chief executive of Western Power Distribution, last year’s winner of the Utility of the Year Award said: “It was immensely pleasing that WPD’s many business successes of the past 12 months had been formally recognised by peers.
“It underlined a year of major success for WPD, including becoming the only DNO to have its business plan fast-tracked as part of Ofgem’s RIIO business plan deliberations.”
Other award winners from 2014 commented on the importance of their Utility Week Award to building company brand and profile in a competitive talent market as well as strengthening employee morale and ambition at a challenging time for the sector.
Entries to the 2015 awards close on 4 September.
