There is now just one more week for entries to be submitted to Utility Weeks 2016 Stars Awards
The awards, now in their third year, have become a popular way for companies to recognise the dedication, ingenuity and heroism of employees working across the water and energy industries in roles from customer support to data analysis and operations.
This year the ward categories have been refreshed to reflect some of the biggest pressures utilities and their staff are under in today’ s technological, political and regulatory environment.
Categories include the Big Bang Award for Innovation, the Customer Culture Award and the Constellation Awards for collaboration with schools and communities. There are also awards to recognise talent in those who have just started out on their career in the industry, those who are progressing rapidly and those who have dedicated many years of long service to delivering water and energy services.
Of course, following another trying winter of extreme weather, the Hero Awards for teams and individuals have been continued in order to celebrate the often incredible feats of kindness and bravery which often occur in times of greatest need.
Winners of the 2016 Stars Awards will be applauded by peers and industry leaders at a lunch time celebration at the Hilton, Manchester Deansgate on June 17. The deadline for entries is 11 March.
