Opportunity to use smart meter data for ‘far greater good’

Modifications to the Smart Energy Code (SEC) present an opportunity to use data from smart meters for a “far greater good”, an industry expert has suggested. Three modifications proposed by Matthew Roderick, founder and chief executive of digital services company n3rgy, are designed to improve data sharing between service providers, including with organisations such as social landlords, enabling them to better protect consumers.
