Omexom UK & ROI, a company which designs, builds and maintains electricity infrastructure, has said it will start to target interconnectors and the higher voltage network since its rebrand from Powerteam in July.
Omexom UK and ROI managing director Alastair Dawson told Utility Week the firm would now develop its footprint by targeting larger projects and diversifying into newer markets it wouldn’t have previously.
“The focus… is to harness the strength of the group and develop the offering going forward, moving into larger projects, newer markets that maybe we wouldn’t have targeted historically as a smaller party organisation,” he said.
This would include interconnectors, higher voltage work and larger framework contracts.
“We can bring in the expertise from continental Europe to get us that head start rather than starting from scratch,” he added.
Omexom UK and ROI joined the Omexom network in July. Omexom, the VINCI Energies brand dedicated to the power and grid sector, operates in 40 countries and has 12,000 experts who design, build and maintain electricity infrastructure.
“Within the scope of our business, we have chosen to adopt this brand, which guarantees high quality, expertise and technicality,” Omexom UK and ROI said in a statement.
