Progress on water efficiency in government policy has not gone far enough and must be mainstreamed into cross-departmental planning to ensure demand reduction targets can be achieved. That is according to Waterwise MD Nicci Russell who warned water efficiency and smart metering often gets "squeezed out" of companies' investment plans.
