Twelve major water resources schemes including three reservoirs have been approved for continued development by the Regulators Alliance for Progressing Infrastructure Developments (RAPID) to address future water supply issues. Reservoirs at Abingdon in Oxfordshire, South Lincolnshire and the Fens in Cambridgeshire will proceed to the next development stage with a view to being built between 2025 and 2030.
