Renewable Power Capital (RPC) and Eelpower have formed a joint venture to acquire, build and operate a 1GW of portfolio of grid-scale batteries in Great Britain. The move marks RBC’s first investment in the UK since being formed in 2020. The London-based firm, which is backed by the Canadian pension fund manager CPP Investments, has so far committed to acquire nearly €1.5 billion of renewable projects across Europe.
