An Ofgem executive has suggested that prepayment meter (PPM) tariffs could be priced “competitively, if not lower" than other forms of payment in the future. Meanwhile, EDF is looking at the possibility of “load limiting” the amount of energy a PPM customer is supplied with as a way of stopping them from self-disconnecting.
