Scottish Power has been granted warrants to forcefully install prepayment meters (PPM), months after the practice was halted over fears of malpractice. While suppliers had agreed to halt their warrant activity in the wake of major allegations against British Gas, Scottish Power has successfully applied for PPM warrants, with Ofgem confirming that courts are running pilot schemes to test the application process.
