Severn Trent Water staff blew away the competition with their singing talent last night to be named Britain's best workplace choir on BBC2's Sing While You Work.
Their rendition of “Feeling Good” beat numbers from the Royal Mail and Lewisham Healthcare NHS Trust to get the judges’ unanimous vote.
The three choirs, all formed and trained by Gareth Malone, went head to head at choral music festival the International Eisteddfod in Llangollen.
Jean Harrison, a commercial waste technical specialist and member of the choir, said: “We did it! Words cannot describe adequately just how we all feel about this amazing experience. To actually come away as the victorious choir was something we dreamed of, but the reality of it coming true is something else!”
