British businesses developing pioneering manufacturing techniques, products and services in the solar sector are being offered grants totalling £455,000 by Innovate UK.
The funding is part of a Europe-wide competition to develop the continent’s manufacturing base and increase its market share in the sector.
Projects which apply must involve at least two different partners from two different countries. Successful applicants could be granted up to 70 per cent of their related costs.
Companies working in the following arenas will be able to apply for shares of the funding:
- Innovative and low-cost photovoltaic manufacturing
- Advanced photovoltaic products and applications
- Energy system integration
- Cost reduction and system integration for concentrating solar power (CSP)
Applicants must submit a pre-proposal by 20 February and a full proposal by 14 June.
