An extension to South West Water’s ongoing hosepipe ban comes into force this week as reservoirs in the region remain alarmingly low. Despite exceptionally high rainfall in March the region remains officially in drought, with the company insisting it is the "responsible thing" to do as summer approaches to broaden the ban.
