Southern lifts hosepipe ban

Southern Water has lifted the hosepipe ban it imposed in August in part of its region in response to drought conditions. The company reported customers saved 11 million litres of water over three months, which helped river levels return to a healthier flow rate. Restrictions remain in place across four other regions, including Yorkshire, where drought permits were secured last month.
