Rishi Sunak should seek to “own” the climate change debate and spark a sense of urgency about the issue across government, the chief executive of the Climate Change Committee (CCC) has urged. The CCC‘s 2021 progress report identified the Treasury as one of the government departments which are “lagging” and “timid” in their approach to climate change.
