Suppliers blast government over EBSS ‘name and shame’

The government has been accused of “lashing out” at energy retailers after naming and shaming those with low redemption rates of Energy Bills Support Scheme vouchers among their prepayment meter customers. Scottish Power, Utilita and Good Energy are among the retailers to hit back in the face of BEIS' crackdown. Since the scheme’s launch in October £5.7 billion has been provided to 99% of households in Great Britain.
