Ofgem has ordered energy retailers to pause the forced installation of prepayment meters (PPMs). However, several major suppliers had already taken the decision proactively following the controversy surrounding debt collection agency Arvato Financial Solutions. Meanwhile suppliers who previously worked with Arvato have distanced themselves from the contractor.
