A drop in wholesale prices due to the coronavirus pandemic has resulted in the price cap being lowered to its lowest level yet, Ofgem has announced. Ofgem has also issued an update on whether it will recommend the cap should be lifted at the end of this year.

E (Gas and Electricity) incorrectly blocked 361 prepayment customers who had received discretionary credit from switching to another supplier, resulting in a compliance case with Ofgem. The energy regulator has since closed the case after E took action.

Final year apprentices at United Utilities have been able to graduate despite lockdown measures thanks to new socially distanced assessments. Using a two metre selfie stick, apprentices were able to live stream their end point assessments.
