Thames sets out £32bn drainage plan

Thames Water will investment more than £30 billion in the coming 25 years to mitigate against flooding and protect the environment from sewage pollution by redirecting surface water away from combined sewer networks. Its plan, which separates London and the Thames Valley, prioritises nature-based solutions including its ambition to "spongify" London with 7,000 hectares of sustainable drainage.
