Troubles at Thames have left suppliers "on edge", with one expert claiming contractors could down tools on major projects if they are unsure about being paid. Peter Kubik of UHY Hacker Young said clarity was needed on the future of Thames and warned that other water companies could soon find themselves with similar supplier concerns.
