The RIIO2 capital delivery challenge: case studies from Cadent, UKPN & National Grid
Event Date: 26/11/2021 11:00 am
A webinar bringing together UKPN’s Suleman Alli, Cadent’s David Moon and National Grid’s Katie Tattersall to explore the ways in which project management and capital delivery teams are responding to huge increases in the scale and speed at which new infrastructure will need to be delivered in the RIIO2 period, all while driving down cost.
The need to renew and expand the UK’s ageing energy asset base is increasingly urgent. In this webinar, Utility Week – in association with Oracle – will explore different network responses to the challenge. - Ways to expediate planning and design delays on urgent capital projects
- The impact of increasing expectations around capital carbon tracking/biodiversity net gain and visual impact assessments on progress
- The human element – how to mitigate against burnout for project management and capital delivery teams under increasing pressure
- Skills and recruitment – the availability of talent to help take networks through a challenging and exciting period for infrastructure renewal and expansion
- The role of new technologies and systems in supporting efficiency for project management and capital delivery
Speakers will include:
- Suleman Alli, director of strategy and information systems, UK Power Networks
- David Moon, director of asset investment, Cadent
- Katie Tattersall, head of East Coast investment programme, National Grid
