Tideway | Work begins to connect ‘super sewer’ with Thames’ network

Thames Tideway, the £4.5bn super sewer, is entering its final phases of work. Teams are preparing to breakthrough the walls of existing sewer tunnels to connect the new infrastructure. This will carry waste from the Tideway tunnel down the Lee tunnel to Beckton for treatment.
