Innovative projects to address future water and food scarcity and develop clean energy could win funding in the Technology Strategy Board's latest competition.
A £3 million pot will be available for small to medium sized technology driven businesses to bring environmental products and services to market.
It aims to tackle a projected increase in demand by 2030 of 50 per cent for food, 45 per cent for energy and 30 per cent for water.
The competition, run in partnership with the Department for Energy and Climate Change and the Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, is due to open later this year.
