UK bridge-builder turned wind turbine tower manufacturer Mabey Bridge has installed five turbines at the Seamer wind farm, Teeside.
The firm built the 80m towers at its Chepstow plant. It then installed them, along with Repower nacelles, rotor hubs and blades at the 10MW scheme, owned by Infinis.
Repower UK managing director, Rick Eggleston, said Mabey Bridge’s new installation capabilities “can only be positive for the UK renewables sector.”
