SGN was named Utility of the Year at Utility Week’s prestigious awards this evening (8 February).
The virtual ceremony also saw Anglian Water victorious in three categories – taking home the Net Zero Award, Employer of the Year and the Supply Chain Excellence Award, alongside Kier and Clancy.
Tony Smith, who stepped down as chief executive of customer watchdog CCW last year, was named industry champion.
This year also saw a one-off award related to excellence in the face of the pandemic, which was won by SSE.
