UU adds SuDS across Manchester

United Utilities has set out plans for four sustainable drainage schemes with local authorities across Greater Manchester as part of its commitment to invest £9 million in natural drainage to relieve pressure on sewer networks by 2025. The company will work with the three councils and authorities for rain gardens, permeable surfaces, rainwater basins, green roofs and tree planting to absorb excess surface water before it enters sewer networks.
