The Water Industry Awards are back for 2024, recognising the achievements of water companies and their partners over the past year.
After a record number of entries in 2023, promoted by a new and improved set of categories, entries are now open for this year’s event.
Companies across the water sector and its supply chain have until 8 March to submit entries across 21 categories.
These include the flagship water company and water retailer of the year awards as well as categories dedicated to asset management, customer service, water efficiency and leakage, among many others. See a full list here.
The winner will be announced at a ceremony on 4 July at The Vox, Birmingham, which will bring the sector together to recognise the progress it is making.
Utility Week editor and chair of the judges James Wallin said: “No one is under any illusion about the challenges facing water companies and the pressure on them to deliver a step change in performance. The Water Industry Awards offer an unparallelled opportunity to show how the sector is driving forward and delivering change. This is a story that deserves to be told and we are passionate about providing a platform for companies to do so.
“This year, our judges are on the lookout for projects, teams, and individuals proving they have gone beyond regulatory requirements to find creative solutions to the challenges facing the sector, demonstrating real benefits not just for the water network but for customers and the environment.”
At the 2023 Water Industry Awards, Anglian Water was named company of the year, as well as triumphing in three other categories. United Utilities and Seven Trent also took home more than one award, while Wave was chosen as water retailer of the year.
