Water Plus wins Caravan and Motorhome Club contract

Deal contributes to £45 million of contracts secured since market opening

Water Plus has been appointed to provide business water services to the Caravan and Motorhome Club, an outdoor holiday company with sites across the UK.

The contract will see Water Plus provide services for over 130 sites in England and a further 18 in Scotland. Water and sewerage costs across the sites will then be consolidated into a single bill for the customer.

“The Caravan and Motorhome Club saw the opportunities that the new water market in England offered along with the benefits around the services we can provide, and took advantage of that,” said Water Plus corporate director Tony McHardy.

Harvey Alexander, director of marketing at the Caravan and Motorhome Club added: “We were looking for a company that can help us be more effective with the water used by our members on the land.

“Water efficiency and helping the environment, benefitting the great outdoors is something that is close to our hearts and the services and expertise Water Plus offers made them a strong supplier for us.”

Water Plus is a joint venture between United Utilities and Severn Trent, providing services including billing, meter reading, account management and water efficiency advice for businesses.

Last week the Stoke-based firm revealed it has won contracts worth more than £45m since the opening of the non-domestic water market in England in April 2017.
