Weekend press: Under-fire UK water companies lash out at ‘labyrinthine’ regulatory system

In our latest round-up of the weekend’s utility sector media coverage, water companies have lashed out at Ofwat for creating a “labyrinthine framework of intense complexity”, which is stalling investment, while thousands in Devon no longer have to boil drinking water following a parasite outbreak. Meanwhile there is debate over the use of pension funds to invest in nuclear power and the energy price cap is predicted to fall again in July.
