Wessex separates sewage system on Dorset coastline

Wessex Water has undertaken work to protect part of the Dorset coastline at times of heavy or prolonged rainfall by separating the sewerage network from surface runoff at Portland Bill as one of more than 20 projects it plans to carry out before the end of AMP7. The company has committed to cut discharges by 25% during this period with a view to eliminate the need for overflows in the future by adding storage, separating networks and increasing nature-based solutions.
