A fault at a Bristol substation saw 38,600 homes lose power last night. Western Power Distribution said power was restored to all homes within 31 minutes.
The incident happened at 6.05pm on Monday. Power was restored to around 1,500 homes within eight minutes, to “the vast majority” in under 28 minutes and to all affected homes within 31 minutes according to a spokesperson. She said a fault at a substation had caused the outage but ruled out metal theft as a potential cause.
