WWT Webinar: Building A Smart Network With Yorkshire Water & Xylem

Yorkshire Water is working with 15 vendors on the pilot which aims to support delivery of AMP7 Outcome Delivery Incentives related to leakage, per capita consumption, supply interruptions and customer satisfaction.

The View platform uses techniques including machine learning to cluster these disparate datasets, remove false positives and inform operational decision making.

This webinar will provide an overview of the pilot, discuss the challenges faced and the benefits already being realised within the first half of the project.

Sam Bright, Innovation Programme Manager, Yorkshire Water

Sam Bright oversees research and development and trials of new technology across clean water catchments, production and distribution. Current projects include smart water initiatives like Yorkshire’s ambitious multi-stakeholder Smart Water Network pilot. Sam’s expertise covers asset strategy, network operations, hydraulic modelling and leakage.

Ruth Clarke, Business Development Manager, UK & Ireland, Xylem

Ruth Clarke is business development manager at Xylem Water Solutions UK looking after the digital solutions and assessment services platforms. Ruth is a civil engineer with more than 20 years’ experience working in software for water and wastewater utilities. Having been involved in projects involving hydraulic modelling, operational forecasting and data analytics, her current focus at Xylem is to help utilities optimise their system operations using the power of data-driven solutions.
